Registration Fees

Registration opens on 15 November 2026 and closes on 28 February 2027. The fee you pay depends on the date your payment is received, not the date you register. All fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).

*Student rate: a scanned copy of a valid student card and proof of current registration must be uploaded during the registration process.

Student scholarships: Up to ten registration scholarships will be available to Master’s and PhD students whose abstracts and papers have been accepted for SABEC 2027.

Member rate: applies to current members of BESSA, CEASA or any other IFMBE-affiliated society, and to staff and students of SABEC 2027 Founding Academic Partner institutions — UCT, UJ, UP, UKZN, SU and Wits.

Registration closes on 28 February 2027. No registrations will be accepted after this date.
